SMART SENSE d.o.o. ("us", "we", or "our") operates the Sensees mobile and web application (the "Service").

This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.

Personal Data

While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you ("Personal Data"). Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:

Email address (used for registration purposes)
First name and last name (only when provided automatically via Google or Apple sign-in; we do not explicitly request this information during registration)

Usage Data

When you access the Service by or through a desktop browser or a mobile device, we may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of device you use, your mobile device unique ID (used for push notifications), the IP address of your device, your operating system, the type of Internet browser you use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data ("Usage Data").

Environmental Sensor Data

The Service connects to SmartSense Sensees hardware devices installed in indoor spaces (such as offices, classrooms, or residential rooms) and collects standard indoor air environmental measurements.

These measurements reflect conditions of indoor spaces and are not linked to any specific individual. They do not constitute personal health data, medical records, or biometric data. The data is collected solely for the purpose of monitoring and displaying indoor air quality for informational purposes. The Service does not provide medical advice and is not intended as a medical or diagnostic device.

Use of Data

SMART SENSE d.o.o. uses the collected data for various purposes:

To provide and maintain the Service
To notify you about changes to our Service
To allow you to participate in interactive features of our Service when you choose to do so
To provide customer care and support
To provide analysis or valuable information so that we can improve the Service
To monitor the usage of the Service
To detect, prevent and address technical issues

Transfer Of Data

Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction.

If you are located outside EU and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to EU and process it there.

SMART SENSE d.o.o. will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.

Legal Requirements

SMART SENSE d.o.o. may disclose your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

Security Of Data

The security of your data is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain your data for the following periods:

Data	Retention Period
Account data (email address, password, and name if provided via SSO)	Retained while your account is active. Permanently deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request.
Usage data (device ID, IP address, OS version and other diagnostic data)	Retained for the duration of your account and deleted upon account deletion.
Environmental sensor measurements	Retained indefinitely for the purpose of providing historical air quality analysis and long-term trend monitoring. Measurement data cannot be linked to a user after account deletion. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us at info@smart-sense.hr.

Your Rights

As a user in the European Union, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

Right of access – You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to rectification – You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
Right to erasure – You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
Right to data portability – You may request your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
Right to object – You may object to the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.
Right to lodge a complaint – You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP) at www.azop.hr.

Account Deletion

Our mobile application supports account deletion from within the application. Please use the following path: press hamburger menu in the right up corner on the main screen and follow the path: Account > Delete My Account. Deletion process will remove all user account details and associated data that is collected by our sensors. In case you want that we delete your account, please contact us by email support@smart-sense.hr.

Service Providers

We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service ("Service Providers"), to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

Analytics

We use third-party Service Providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Service.

Firebase

Firebase is a platform provided by Google Inc. used for crash reporting and for delivering push notifications to users of the Service.

You can manage or disable push notification permissions at any time through your mobile device settings.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is an analytics service provided by Google Inc. used to monitor and analyze usage patterns within the Service. Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 ("Children").

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
